Mind - For Better Mental Health

Creative arts, photography, poetry and gardening

Thursday 7th December 2017

An opportunity to appreciate our beautiful and peaceful English countryside. Explore and develop your creativity in the Elham Valley by producing art, taking photographs of nature in all its glory, help plan a beautiful garden or try your hand at poetry. No experience needed.

Please note there is a small contribution of 3 for these sessions. Meet Sharon by the ticket office at the bus station for No 17 bus at 9.50am. Bus leaves 10am. Please bring your lunch with you. If driving please arrive in Elham for 11am.

Due to the popularity of the arts/crafts, space in the workshop has had to be limited to 6 spaces for those members who specifically wish to draw, paint and create during the session. It is therefore important to book a space. Please advise the office if you cannot attend so others can be offered a place. There are no limits, as yet, for gardening, photography, walking or meditating in the willow dome - weather permitting. PLEASE TELEPHONE IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER.

Please note that to access our outings, activities and events you need to be a member of Mind. Please telephone the Centre (01303 250090) if you would like further details.

Please refer to our Wellbeing Programme page for ongoing activities and events held internally - i.e. music sessions and individual lessons, art/crafts, sewing/textiles, person centred planning etc and externally - horticultural/photographic project, clay sculpture workshops, gym group and health walks etc.
