Mind - For Better Mental Health

NEW SELF Identity with clay

Friday 15th June 2018

An exciting opportunity to explore your SELF Identity through clay sculpture. The tutor is an experienced artist and art physiotherapist. She will take you on a journey of creativity and exploration in a relaxed and informal workshop. No previous experience required.

Pottery has been described as therapeutic, relaxing and SELF fulfilling. The act of spinning clay connects your mind and body in natural interaction. By building and sculpting clay, individuals can create something to express themselves whilst mentally and physically benefitting. As you focus is shifted towards your creation, the mind is able to rejuvenate from many of the worries that daily life brings. With the conclusion of each session working with clay, individuals can appreciate the progress they have made with learning a new skill, building upon SELF esteem and general wellbeing.

There is a suggested donation of 3 per session.

This is taking place at The Cube, Tontine Street on Fridays between 10.30am - 12.30pm in June and July (NB: If sufficient numbers are not reached this course may be postponed).
